AMVIS is a pre-incorporation technology venture based in Montréal, Québec, developing an edge-AI vehicle-verification and automated license-plate-recognition system for law enforcement.

This site is provided for information and to let agencies request a pilot. Do not submit false information or use the site to attempt to disrupt it. Content on the site, including copy, design, and imagery, is owned by AMVIS and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.

AMVIS may offer a limited, non-commercial operational evaluation: we install edge-processing units and cameras in a small number of agency vehicles at no charge for a defined term, typically six months. The pilot is provided free of software, hardware, and installation fees. A request through this site is not a contract; any pilot begins only when both parties sign a Pilot Program Agreement.

Under the Pilot Program Agreement, the agency retains ownership of all operational vehicle records, plate-read metadata, alerts, and incident logs generated during the pilot. AMVIS receives only non-identifiable system telemetry for product improvement, and only with the agency’s agreement, as described in our Privacy Policy. No raw video or vehicle profiles are transmitted off the device by the system.

The AMVIS software, models, training methods, and hardware designs remain the property of AMVIS. A pilot grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the system for evaluation during the term, and nothing more. The system may not be reverse engineered, benchmarked for a competing product, or copied.

AMVIS is provided during a pilot on an as-is basis for evaluation. We do not guarantee a specific number of detections, recoveries, or outcomes; real-world performance depends on deployment conditions, camera placement, and factors outside our control. Nothing on this site is a promise of a particular operational result.

These terms and any pilot are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute is brought in the courts of the judicial district of Montréal.

We may update these terms as AMVIS develops, and will note the date above. The signed Pilot Program Agreement, where one exists, always takes precedence over these general terms.
